Which of our
juicers
will make YOU smile?

Everybody is different.
Some of us like to juice greens, some
carrots. Some want additional functions like the ability to make frozen
desserts or sauces-without buying another appliance. There is no ONE
juicer that has ALL the advantages and if someone tells you exactly
that don't believe them. They are probably more focussed on their sales
targets than your long term "juicing life".
So it is very important for you to find the right type of
juicer. This is what this short article is about-a brief comparison of
the different types of juicers we are offering here at
SuperJuicers.com.
By the way...if you
already know everything you need to know about all the different types
of juicers we have don't read this and go straight to what you are
looking for. But if you are still wondering which juicer will suit your
unique needs best read on as coming up right now is a
little introduction into the world of
juicers.
First of all:
Juicers extract juice. They
are also called juice extractors. Blenders on the other hand blend ingredients whole and make them
into a smoothie or similar.
Then there are
cheap juicers. They usually get tired faster than you can say "bargain"
or they start making strange noises usually relating to friction
between different parts of the juicer and vibrate and then give up when
you need them most.
You see with juicers more than anything else
quality does matter enormously because you will want a juicer or
blender that will deal with your produce and juicing needs
effortlessly.
It is the equivalent to a fit body and a weak body: The
weak body will manage to deal with daily chores and demands for a while
but it will get ill and develop underlying faults and strain which will
further weaken it. A fit body will deal with the demands of everyday
life effortlessly and therefore stay healthy and it's much the same
with a quality juicer like the Champion or any of
the Omega juicers or L'Equip
models we have.
(If in doubt please get the cheapest juicer
you can find anywhere and come back to us in a few weeks or months to
buy a proper one!)
Another good indicator of the confidence
the manufacturer has in their product is the length of warranty they
are prepared to offer by the way.
So lets talk
about the juicers you can buy here at SuperJuicers.com!

Blenders or Smoothie makers do not extract juice. You add the
ingredients and the blender will blend everything together. So for
example you have some fresh orange juice and you want to add fresh
strawberries and some melon and maybe some ice to make a deliciously
fruity smoothie or mixed fruit juice. A powerful blender will
effortlessly do that within a few seconds and at the touch of a button.
With blenders you need to have liquid that you add other
ingredients to so your drinks can be based on fruit juice or milk/soya
milk. Another popular way of using a blender is to blend soups and
sauces. Our favourite blenders have different speeds which
is important to efficiently deal with differing density of the
ingredients. If you want the best home blender in the world have a look
at the Blendtec Total Blender
with a 3 Horse Power motor...

Citrus juicers do exactly what the name says: they juice lemons,
oranges and other citrus fruit. They don't juice anything else so if
you love fresh orange juice or the occasional cocktail but don't like
to juice much this is a good choice for you. With our citrus juicers
you will only have to cut the lemon or orange in half and without much
effort you will have wonderfully fresh orange or lemon juice.
All types of vegetable and fruit
juicers juice citrus fruit but with them you need to peel the fruit
first. Because they run at low RPM ( Rotation per minute) citrus
juicers are also quietly run and won't interrupt your conversations.
Check out the Miracle citrus
juicer and the
L'Equip citrus juicer you see on the left.

Centrifugal juicers are fast spinning
juicers where the vegetables get shredded and the pulp thrown out to
the side. Very fast, very simple, but without the automatic pulp
ejection of a pulp ejector juicer- so that means if you have a big
family and have a lot of vegetables or fruit to juice you may have to
clean up in between because the pulp still stays in the juicer-but on
the sides.
With this type of juicer as with the pulp
ejector juicers which operate with the same basic spinning motion but
with added automatic pulp ejection it is important to have a quality
appliance that is perfectly weighted so that the juicer doesn't produce
strong vibration which is usually a sign of a cheap juicer which will
wear out soon. The weight of the blade is also a good
indication of its durability.
We carry only the Omega Centrifugal Juicers
because Omega has been producing
outstanding juicers of this type for several years and with their
extensive warranties, stylish looks and easy operation we can give
customers the best of the crop.

Now on to
Pulp Ejector juicers (
L'Equip 110.5/221, Omega 4000, Miracle and Nutri Source): they work
like centrifugal juicers with the added benefit of the pulp being
ejected automatically (not into your kitchen but into a container!) so
they are fast and convenient you wont have to clean up the juicer even
when juicing larger quantities.
Like the centrifugal juicers they are
especially recommended if you want to juice hard fruit like apples,
pears, nectarines etc and vegetables like carrots, courgettes, celery,
beet, most vegetables. With those types of produce they
will have a high juice yield .
The models we have will
handle leafy greens like spinach or kale well too, but they are at
their best with fruit and hard vegetables. If you only or
mainly want to juice greens or wheat grass for example I would
recommend a so called slow rotation
juicer. |
 |
Slow Rotation juicers (
L'Equip Visor, Omega 8003/8005, Samson Juicers, also the
Miracle Wheat grass
juicers will do greens very well. The Slow Rotation juicers
also have the highest juice quality (in nutritional
terms) because they slowly squeeze the juice out of the vegetables at
around 100 rotations per minute which creates minimum heat in the
process and that way preserves most of the nutrients. You can also keep
it for longer.
The Slow Rotation (low rpm) juicers also
produce less foam than high speed juicers. Serious health
fans tend to go for slow rotation juicers because greens and wheat
grass or barley grass are also some of the most powerful vegetables to
juice.
With these juicers there comes an added bonus: you
can also make frozen desserts, nut butters, sauces, pasta, and other
very tasty things with them (please check our individual product
descriptions for specifics) and that can really be adding another
dimension.
A drawback is that juicing will take a little
bit longer with a slow rotation juicer but if you take a little more
time you will be rewarded with the most nutritious juice possible. These
juicers are also the quietest of all juicer
types. |
 |
A juicer in a class of its own is the Champion
Juicer. This juicer is very powerful and is
wildly popular because of its indestructable constitution, very easy
clean up (1 min.) and larger round feeding chute ( it takes large
carrots whole, even small cucumbers) and again also because of its
additional functions similar to the slow rotation juicers. It makes
delicious frozen desserts from pure frozen fruit ( like frozen banana
halves-frozen without their skins-you just change one part and you run
them through the machine and you get a creamy frozen dessert like an
ice cream-only without the sugar and cream!) .
Also you can
make all kinds of sorbets, sauces, nut butters (they tend to be creamer
with the champion because it is operating at a higher speed than slow
rotation juicers)...
And the Champion is very good with
almost all vegetables and fruit-second to none for carrots, apples,
mixed juices etc...where it is not ideal is if you want to juice mainly
wheat grass or leafy greens-it does juice them but the yield isn't as
high as with a slow rotation juicer.
Celery you have to cut
small with a champion juicer because otherwise the long fibres can get
wrapped around the cutter and you may have to clean up in
between.
When you juice with the Champion you will
never doubt its ability to do a good job even with very challenging
produce.
|
In conclusion
Get the
juicer that is made for juicing the vegetables or fruit you want to
juice. If you want to juice mainly hard vegetables and fruit and want
additional functions go for the Champion.
If you dont need
additional functions but want a fast juicer go for the L'Equip 221 or Omega Juicer ( or a
smaller and great value model is the L'Equip 110.5 or the
Miracle Juicer).
If you want the highest juice quality you should get a Slow
Rotation juicer I would personally recommend the L'Equip Visor or Omega
8003/8005, as well as The Samson Twin Gear which
arguably has the highest juice yield of all and the most advanced
technology to produce the highest quality juice.
I would
also recommend the Visor or Omega 8003 if you want a
wheat grass juicer because of their additional functions but the Miracle wheat grass
juicers are well made and very popular too...
