Fruit and vegetables contain POWERFUL ENZYMES    

"Enzymes perform thousands of specialised functions within the human body; they are the catalysts to many essential processes.

Enzymes are extremely heat sensitive and are destroyed very easily at fairly low temperatures.
Once the Enzymes are destroyed the body has to call upon its reserves to supply an adequate amount for sufficient digestion.

Without enzymes the body is unable to complete the digestion process, resulting in fermentation - the two by-products being alcohol and gas, resulting in abdominal bloating and flatulence.
Fruit is therefore best eaten on its own and raw at least twenty minutes before other foods for optimum nutrition and digestion.
Better digestion ensures that more nutrients will be absorbed.
A common complaint is that of indigestion. Enzymes in certain fruits help to break down other food groups.

Papaya, for example, contains an enzyme called Papain, which can break down protein, therefore aiding the stomach enzymes to digest food.

Pineapple juice contains the enzyme Bromelain which not only helps to balance the acidity and alkaline levels in the digestive system, but also acts as an effective anti-inflammatory. "
